So apparently my Charger decided that driving to work was overrated. It instead decided that it wanted to be carried there.
It currently starts and run but won't shift out of park. *no I'm not on an incline *no the steering wheel isn't bound
So here I wait for AAA to come and carry lazy pants and me to work.
EDIT: Thanks for all the help, I apparently didn't know this was so prone to breaking. I'm off to go take my console apart!

Not available on Charger... Still standard on Challenger though.

That might actually have been his point. More of a "Y U NO" directed at Chrysler than Firewrx. Certainly where I'd direct it.

Fair enough, I knew someone would make a manual joke so thought I'd be the annoying smartass this time...

To add what people have said about the parking gear getting all fucked up, this happened to me on my 07 300, and I didn't get the replacement part right away, so what I did is I stuck my hand down to the front of the shifter, and shoved the pink thingy part back, and was able to get it to whatever gear I wanted. Rockauto.com has a replacement part, billet technologies is where I got my new part. It's made out of aluminum so it won't break again, it comes with all new springs and everything. I made sure when I did mine, to take plenty of pictures, so if you want them I can post them up for you. I took my shifter completely out, but now thinking back I don't think that was 100% necessary. You just have to take the the top portion off, and pop in the new part. I did all sorts of reading on this, it's pretty much guaranteed to break eventually, but Chrysler refuses to issue a recall for it, it's not really a safety issue, just a pain in the ass issue. Also, never ever take it to the dealer for a fix, from what I've heard they will just put another plastic part back in.

Here is the part you need
http://www.custombilletstore.com/Genuine_Billet…
It appears to be on sale as well so I would pick it up asap.
Right there on that page they also have a walkthrough on how to take it apart. Make sure if you do this yourself, that when you take off the shifter, it is connected to the transmission by 2 different lines, one is a simple snap in, the other has a bolt connected to it, make sure to make exactly where the bolt is for when you put it back in.

My friend had that in his Avalon. Penny somehow got wedged into the release mechanism!
